Matt Magan is a family office private equity investor and community advocate based in Charlotte. He is a Co-Founder and leads investing efforts at Ten Oaks Group, a family office investment firm. Ten Oaks specializes in corporate divestitures – acquiring non-core businesses and helping them become stronger standalone entities. Prior to starting Ten Oaks, Matt worked in lower middle market private equity. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland and an MBA from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

Beyond his work in private investments, Matt is committed to social mobility in Charlotte. Along with his wife Elizabeth, he founded CLTRising, a program aimed at increasing college access and social work support services through supporting under-resourced students and families via personalized mentorship, advocacy, and connection to resources. He is also a founding team member of CLT Impact Investors, a nonprofit investment firm dedicated to empowering underrepresented entrepreneurs through growth investments and Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition.
