Leighton Britton Fogan is an accomplished fundraising executive advising nonprofit organizations and philanthropic institutions on growth, strategy, and organizational development. Since 2015, Leighton has served as a nonprofit consultant, partnering with leadership to design and manage major comprehensive and capital campaigns, strengthen operational infrastructure, and support board and talent fundraising capacities. Leighton is recognized for her thoughtful approach, collaborative style, and ability to guide organizations through periods of growth and transformation. Her work spans organizations of all sizes — from grassroots nonprofits to international organizations — with a focus on strengthening fundraising performance, advancing mission-driven impact, and building long-term organizational capacity. Leighton began her career in New York, NY where she supported philanthropic initiatives focused on social innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging global leaders. She earned her B.A. in English, cum laude, from Wake Forest University and holds certificates in Business Management from Columbia Business School and Nonprofit Management from Duke University. She currently serves on the Athletic Advisory Council for Wake Forest University. Leighton lives with her husband and two children in Charlotte, NC.
