Catherine Jimenez serves as the Director of Fellow Recruitment and Engagement. She leads school-based recruitment, family engagement, onboarding, and community-building to make sure all Fellows and their families have a smooth and supportive experience at CYC. She also oversees key systems like transportation and communications, and works with other staff to strengthen retention, belonging, and growth across the organization. Catherine earned both her Bachelor’s and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte while interning with CYC before joining full-time in 2023. As a social worker, she is dedicated to serving historically marginalized communities and ensuring that all young people have access to the support and opportunities they need to thrive.

If she’s not at CYC, Catherine is probably reading, winning trivia, convincing her friends to play board games, or exploring new spots in Charlotte!
