Austin Lowrey joined Duke Energy in 2018 as part of the Finance Associate Rotation Program and has worked in Accounting, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, and Treasury. He currently works as a Lead Treasury Analyst on Duke Energy’s Credit & Capital Markets team. Austin is originally from Greenville, SC and went to Clemson University for both his bachelor’s degree in finance and master’s degree in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and currently serves on the Development Committee for CYC and previously served on the Young Professionals Board for Charlotte Regional Business Alliance and CYC. He also volunteers as a College Fellow mentor.

I’ve been involved with CYC since 2023 through the CYC YP Board and mentorship of Winifred Tettey (she’s getting ready to graduate from UNC’s Master of Accounting Program in June!). I have met so many amazing people that work for CYC and been blown away by the dedication the CYC staff has to the Torch & College Fellows along with how much of an impact they have made on hundreds of students.

I’m “Fired Up” to join the Board to help support CYC’s continued success and bring my broad corporate experience to the finance side of CYC. I’m also looking forward creating connections for CYC that will help bring additional donors & sponsors along with finding ways to make connections for the Torch & College Fellows as they work towards landing full-time roles following graduation.
