Ciara Smith serves as the Associate Director of College Success. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2021 and her Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling in 2025. Over the course of her career, Ciara has worked with students at every stage of their educational journey, from elementary school through college. She has served as an assistant teacher, after-school teacher, college advisor at a Charlotte-Mecklenburg high school, first-year admissions counselor, and student career coach, gaining extensive experience supporting students’ academic and personal development.

Ciara is deeply committed to bridging the gap between minority students and the opportunities available to them. Growing up in Fayetteville, North Carolina, she understands firsthand the challenges some students face and works to equip them with the skills, confidence, and guidance needed to excel academically and thrive personally. Beyond her professional dedication, Ciara enjoys traveling, shopping, trying new foods as a huge foodie, and spending time with her dog, Bentley, finding joy in experiences that inspire growth and connection.
